India Quiz

Navin Rajarams annual India Quiz, "Cannabis Indica" will be conducted at the BQC this Sunday.
It was conducted in Bangalore recently where it was very well received and appreciated, for being very

informative about India  both for the regular quizzer and for the newbie who has just come to learn more.

   When: 3 PM, Sunday,24th March 2013 (Please be there by 2:45 PM for team assignments)

  Where: Pinstorm, Ground Floor, Swati House (Next to Kotak Bank on Linking Road), North Avenue, Santa Cruz (W).

  Directions: From the south: If you come north on Linking Road from Bandra to SantaCruz, you'll find a large Benetton Store on the right. At the end of that block is a Kotak Bank at the corner. Take a right and it's the next building, take the first gate and tell the sentry you've come for the quiz. From the north: If you get on to Linking Road at the airplane park end, you'll cross a HDFC Bank. A block later, you'll see a Kotak Bank on the corner - do not cross it. Take a left at that point and it's the building next to Kotak Bank.

Kurukshetra for Kurukshetra

The BQC open set the juggernaut rolling and we can't seem to stop. Tomorrow will see the third quizzing session in as many Sundays.

Rajiv Rai will conduct the Kurukshetra Open quiz, which has been set by ace quizmasters including himself, Movin Miranda and Gopal Kidao, and has been labelled as one of the best quizzes in the country. So good, that we had to announce the quiz late in order to keep the turnout in check.

Saint Rajiv is already this season's champ, and in what might be the last quiz of the season (or maybe not), he does not want to miss the opportunity to see his flock fight for the remaining points.
The quiz will be followed by a glorification ceremony for Rajiv at the nearby Barista.

One of the marvels of quizzing is that it can never get exhausted.

The third BQC open last weekend was a roaring success which saw over 200 people take part in 6 quizzes, all of which lived up to their billing. As is true with all quizzes, all questions were carefully chosen from a huge question bank. But since we had to fit 6 quizzes in two days, time was of the essence more than it was for Phileas Fogg, and the QMs couldnt fit all their questions into their quizzes. With so many QMs and so many questions, we've decided to make a quiz out of all the leftover questions.

The BQC Open Quizzes 2013 Are Coming!

And with that Paul Revere-esque opening, we'd like to invite you to attend our third annual weekend of competitive quizzing in this tiny western outpost of the country.

We're hosting six quizzes over two days (2-3 March, 2013), and we'd like to have as many people over as we possibly can. Last year, we had a most wonderful turnout, and we're hoping to top that this year.

Not only have we scheduled the events so that locals and visitors from out of town can make it to the events and back comfortably, we've also put together a wide range of topics for our quizzes, and INR 60,000 in prize money.

2013 CEAT Open

The Mumbai teams performed well at the CEAT Open last week with the Travelling Pillsburys (Vibhendu,Sumant,Srinath TB) finishing 3rd and Vikram Joshi qualifying for the Final.

We'll have a re-run this Sunday with Rajiv Rai as our QM. This is usually the best quiz of the year so I expect to see a good turnout.

 We kick off 2013 with a quiz by Priyambad,who will do a re-run of a quiz he did in Bhubaneshwar  last year. He's set some wonderful quizzes in the past (GREENKO) so this should be fun.

Mindsweep + Megawhats 2012

MindSweep is KQA’s international open solo quizzing championship while Mega-Whats is their annual national open quizzing championship for teams of four members. The Mumbai round takes place this Sunday at the usual venue at Pinstorm.

Quiz Dubai invades the BQC

This Sunday's quizzes  at the BQC are brought to you by Quiz Dubai. We start off with a 90 Question written quiz set by Dr. Chandrashekar Rao followed by a  short quiz by BQC alum Prasann Potdar. We'll start at 15:00 sharp.
